About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Systems Operations Engineer.

In this role, you will:

Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area
Contribute in increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks
Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution
Lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability

Required Qualifications:

4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Strong coding ability in at least one language (Python, Go, Java, Node.js, RPA, etc.).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Expertise with Kubernetes, containers, Kafka, Mongo DB and distributed systems.
Deep understanding of observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, ITRS, Splunk).
Proficiency with CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Harness, etc.).
Experienced with SLIs/SLOs and error budget design.
Incident response and runbook design.
Performance engineering and capacity planning.
Chaos engineering and resilience testing techniques.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Excellent communication, especially under pressure.
Ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and support.
Ownership mindset and proactive reliability thinking.
Understanding of Gen AI, Agents and Copilot will be added advantage

Job Expectations:

Flexible to work on rotational day shifts, floating weekends and extended hours when required. (5:30 AM – 2:30 PM / 1:30 PM – 10:30 PM)
